Employee Navigator Initial Setup Questionnaire
EIN – List the main EIN for the company. If the company has multiple EINs, these can be handled with Business Units. List each Business Unit name with their corresponding EIN as additional information
Pay Cycles – list the pay cycle(s) the company uses with the first 2 payroll dates. Include the total number of payrolls for the Calendar year: Weekly (52), Bi-Weekly (26), Semi-Monthly (24), etc.
Class – list each class of employee used. Classes are used to separate employees for different rules in the system:
- Variations of benefit eligibility
- Variations of employee contributions
- Variations of New Hire Eligibility/Effective Date
Most employers have at least 2 Classes, Full-Time and Part-Time, with variations on benefit eligibility
New Hire Eligibility Rules and Effective Date – List the rules for how long an employee has to work before they are eligible for benefits and when the effective date is; First of Month following 30 days is common
